Jan Patience is one of Scotland’s best-known arts journalists and PRs. With more than 30 years' experience, Jan has extensive knowledge of both writing and commissioning articles for tabloid and broadsheet newspapers, as well as a number of consumer magazines. She co-wrote a biography of the renowned Scottish artist, George Wyllie and is a co-founder of Eardley 100, which was set up to mark the centenary of Anglo-Scottish painter Joan Eardley.
Jan writes a regular column on the visual arts for The Herald newspaper, and is a contributor to a range of TV and radio programmes, including BBC Radio 4's 'Front Row'.
Jan chairs events at the likes of the Edinburgh International Book Festival and recently stepped down as co-chair of Women in Journalism Scotland, which supports and trains women in the media. An early adopter of social media, Jan creates lively, informative and entertaining content across a variety of platforms.
